It would probably be better if TunnelBear replaced the “no logging” statements with “no activity logs” or something similar, which would be more accurate and align with their policies.

TunnelBear had an excellent showing in this round of testing, actually improving speeds—a rare feat. But in my overall examination of VPNs, I've seen more pronounced improvements. PureVPN has, for two years running, been the fastest VPN when testing on Windows. In the domestic test, it sped up downloads by over 300 percent, and over 400 percent in the international test. That's a hard act to follow, but it's noteworthy it wasn't able to repeat this performance on macOS. For now, TunnelBear is on the top of the Mac VPN heap.
On the back end, TunnelBear offers around 1,000 servers in 20 countries. That's a solid foundation, but top competitors beat it in the number and breadth of servers. Private Internet Access, for example, has over 3,000 servers. NordVPN also has 1,000 servers, but it also offers specialized servers, for double encryption, connecting to Tor via VPN, and for streaming video. TunnelBear does not allow P2P file sharing or BitTorrent on any of its servers.
In conclusion I have found Tunnelbear to work well for my usecase. I believe it should work well for most, especially those that prefer simplicity over features. The only complaint from my side is the relatively high price and low cap on the free plan.
